Polyaluminum Chloride (PAC) is a new and powerful coagulant and flocculant in water and wastewater treatment processes. The use of this material is increasing dramatically in a wide range of drinking water, sewage, and industrial wastewater treatment processes.
Polyaluminum Chlorides are a group of inorganics, pre-neutralized, and water-soluble polymer compounds with a high charge density which are classified based on the alumina percentage, the degree of polymerization, and the basicity.
Applications of liquid PAC in the water and wastewater
treatment industries as coagulant for purification and clarification of:
Urea fertilizer with the highest nitrogen content among all solid nitrogen fertilizers is the most important nitrogen fertilizer in the world. Urea is used in agriculture as fertilizers containing nitrogen and the raw material of many important and industrial chemical compounds.
Description:

- Ø Drinking water
- Ø Municipal sewage
- Ø Effluent of dyeing industries and dyeing units
- Ø Effluent of paper and cardboard industries
- Ø Effluent of leather and textile industries
- Ø Effluent of food and dairy industries
- Ø Effluent of the steel and power plant industries
- Ø Leachate of urban waste
- Ø Removal of toxic and dangerous metals and ionic compounds

Benefits of liquid PAC:
- High performance in Coagulation and Flocculation process
- Transportation and storage in various packages
- Less sludge production than old coagulants (Alum & Ferric chloride)
- Faster sedimentation than old coagulants (Alum & Ferric chloride)
- Reducing COD and BOD by more than 90%
- More economical price than powder PAC
- High Stability (More than 12 months)
- Complete dissolution in water without formation of precipitate
Safe Handling, Storage and Packaging:
- Store and Package in rubber-lined, Plastic (PE, PP, PVC), Polyethylene-lined mild steel or FRP vessels.
- Avoid contact with metal, as products will slowly corrode iron, brass, copper, aluminum, and mild steel. Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray.
- Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place.
Keep storage temperature below 40 °C /104 °F. Avoid freezing.
- Store away from incompatible materials.
- Keep only in original container.
- Recommended storage temperature: 10 – 30 °C (50 – 86 °F)
